World Breast Feeding Week 2016      
Theme: Breastfeeding: A key to Sustainable Development

"Breastfeeding is not only the cornerstone of a child’s healthy development; it is also the foundation of a country’s development."
As a part of the world breast feeding week celebrations, Department of Child Health Nursing, Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College organized various programmes both in the college and hospital in accordance with the theme.

EXTENSION OF WORLD BREAST FEEDING WEEK CELEBRATIONS
As an extension of the world breast feeding week celebrations, various programmes were organized in Chatrapati Shivaji Subharti hospital for the mothers.

The programme started by 2:30 pm. Dr. Anupama Verma has given guidance and counseling regarding breast feeding to the postnatal mothers, which was followed by a role play by the B.Sc(N) IV year students. Videos regarding the benefits and importance of breast feeding were displayed under the guidance of Prof.Kalpana Mandal, Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Subharti Nursing College and Ex.Cap.Capt. Geeta Parwanda, Principal, Subharti Nursing College.
